Some Excellent Advice From a liberal Progressive

Shaw, over at Progressive Eruptions, gave some advice for her commenters but it is also some great advice for all of us bloggers whether we be the owner of a blog or just a commenter on someone’s blog. Writing an essay as well as commenting on a blog is one thing but we should all be aware of the fact that it should be a logical argument and abide by the rules of logic.

We must realize that while an appeal to emotion may, at times, be a good argument it can never be considered as a logical argument. A good emotional appeal is used to get a person to react emotionally. A good logical argument is meant to be used to give a person something to think on before reacting. When we fully understand this we can know what type of argument we need to use and when to use a particular form of argument.

So, my friends, we need to think before we react, especially when discussing certain emotionally charged issues, and always beware of fallacies in our own arguments as well as others. If we do there is no doubt in my mind that our experience in the blogosphere will be far more pleasant for everyone.

Silence of Fear, not Silence in Memory of the Brave, is What I Hear This Day

This is the day designated to be the day to spend in silent memory of the brave who died for our freedoms and rights.  But I hear no such silence.  The only silence I hear on this day is the silence of fear.  It is the silence of those who are afraid to voice their contempt of the acts of those who are trying to get others killed.  It is the silence of cowardice not bravery.

And, in my opinion, that is exactly what those cowards who are SWATting those conservative bloggers are hoping for, getting someone killed. And it doesn’t matter to them which party is the victim.  They have revealed their contempt for both, law enforcement as well as conservative bloggers.  They are just hoping that one or the other will not be clear-headed enough to prevent such a tragedy.

So I say to every conservative out there, be prepared. Do not let panic dictate your reactions if this occurs to you. Too much is at stake here, not only for you personally but for this great nation.

Liberals, it is your silence on this issue that they are depending on.  As long as you are silent on this issue these cowards will assume you explicitly condone what they are doing.  As long as you continue to monetarily support them they will feel you are implicitly justifying their acts.  They have already told you this implicitly in their declaration of gratitude for your support.

So liberals or progressives if you prefer the term, this is my challenge, come out from that locked closet of silent fear and declare yourself.  They have already declared themselves loud and clear as being one of you.   There is no doubt in my mind that they hope you remain silent. There is no doubt in my mind that they believe that you hope that they will succeed in their mission of getting someone killed. I do not underestimate the intelligence of these cowards.

The reason I say this is because there is no doubt in my mind that they think you’ll go off half-cocked and spin this as being the fault of conservatives and the values that they possess in regards to the possession of weapons.  We have already seen it in two previous incidences, the Treyvon Martin incident and the Gabrielle Giffords incident.

So liberals, believe my words or don’t believe them. It is up to you.  If you do not believe them then take up my challenge and voice your words of support for these cowards. If there is only a thread of truth in my words come out and condemn these cowards. Silence is not an option except for those who fear the consequences of speaking out. The choice be yours.

They may be “nobodies” as Markos Moulitsas has described them as every coward should be seen but it is your silence that makes them feel like “somebodies” and is their encouragement of what they are doing. I might also add that if they cannot succeed in their mission against conservative that one of you might get thrown under the bus and they will consider it a necessary sacrifice. That is the way cowards think and act.

Some Coward Swatted Another Conservative Blogger

Erick Erickson over at Red State is the latest victim of Swatting tonight by some coward.

“Tonight, my family was sitting around the kitchen table eating dinner when sheriffs deputies pulled up in the driveway.
Someone called 911 from my address claiming there had been an accidental shooting.”

Is force and fear the only thing some people know how to use? Don’t they realize just how cowardly it is?

An Update on Brett Kimberlin

This is an update on the Brett Kimberlin story. Remember, this is a man who has cost a man and his wife their jobs because their employer was afraid of the consequences of keeping them on. That man being the owner of the blog, “Allergic to Bull”. Remember, Brett Kimberlin is responsible for a man to feel he needed to put his family into hiding. That man being “The Other McCain”.

What has the left got to say about this harrassment, nothing as far as I can see. If any of my followers can find a leftist blog out there decrying what this man is doing and tells me of it I will add that blog to the list of blogs in my first post on Brett Kimberlin. In fact the only words i’ve heard of a leftist speak in regards to this situation are the words of Markos Moulitsas as he tweeted these words,

“So wingnut bloggers are apparently trying their hardest to make some nobody into the greatest hitler on the left. ”

The silence of the left is deafening and that in itself says much about them. This is especially true when you read what Brett Kimberlin has said on his own blog, Justice Through Music. Note what he says in the second to the last sentence. And this was just posted a couple of days ago.

“May 25, 2012 – We want to thank all of you for your tremendous support this week. Keep those donations flooding in so that those opposed to human rights and progressive values will see that their malicious attacks on youth, women, activists, Muslims, and the 99% will not be tolerated in our beloved democracy. Please note that we are working closely with both state and federal law enforcement officials and have given them lists of all those who make inappropriate statements or contacts. Again, thank you so much for all the donations. We feel like Planned Parenthood after the attack on them.”

A Leftist Gone too Far, Time to Take a Stand, People

Brett Kimberlin

This is suppose to be the United States of America, the defender of Free Speech. There is someone on the left who along with his coherts who apparently do not appreciate its meaning. It is time that We, the People take a united stand against persons such as these.

Does the name BRETT KIMBERLIN mean anything to you? If not, take the time to read his story on the following blogs. And if you value your freedoms and rights add your blog to the many who are fighting for their freedom and rights. It is the good fight and one that we all should be willing to get in on. I’ll be citing more blogs and adding their names to this fight as time allows.

Fetus or a Baby, Is How We define It a Matter of Conscience?

A fetus or a baby?

A fetus or a baby, is how we define it a matter of conscience? Do we harden ourselves to the consequences of the act by calling it a fetus rather than a baby? If a fetus is not a person as it is claimed then what difference does it make whether it be a male or female? If abortion is as moral as some claim then why should anyone be appalled by how it is disposed of once it has been taken?

If it is nothing but a clump of cells as some claim then why is flushing it down the toilet wrong as depicted in this story? Why should it be treated any differently or given greater respect just because that clump of cells are human?

If it is not a person as some claim then why shouldn’t it be used as dog food as depicted in this story? Why should that non-person be treated any differently or given greater respect than any other animal remains once killed?

It sounds as if people want to treat that life form one way while it is inside a woman and alive but see it as being something entirely different once life has been aborted and it has been taken out of the woman’s body. And women are the biggest victims of the act of abortion whether it be the mother or child.

Call me an extremist if you want but if this is not the very good example of hypocrisy and how the use of force can effect the moral fibre of individuals and of a nation then I am glad I am not a member of the mainstream of thought.

Questioning the Results of the System of Justice in the U.S.A.

Researchers from the University of Michigan and Northwestern University have been studying the results of our justice system and have come up with some amazing figures. They have found that 2061 persons have been exonerated from crimes they were convicted of since 1989. DNA testing has been a factor in 289 cases of exonerations. And in 129 cases persons were exonerated of crimes that never occurred.

Here is a link to the rest of the story. You be the judge of the value of the justice system under which we all live in the United States.

Is There a Difference between Islamic Ideology and Nazi Ideology?

Call me an extremist if you want but when those of the Islamic faith deny what is depicted in the following video I cannot help but see no difference. And when I hear their voices of what they seek to impose upon the world I cannot help but see no difference. If there be a difference it is only in the words they use to depict what they seek to impose not in how they seek to impose. It is their attitude in regards to others not of their own kind that is the same. And their goal for the world can only be brought about in the same manner. Forced purification of the world was the goal of one ideology and forced purification of the world is the goal of the other. Neither ideology tolerate the beliefs of others.

The Griper is Back For a While Again

Well folks, I’m back even if but for a short time. Had my angiogram and they added a new piece to my body with a promise of more. One of my arteries has been completely shut off so I am going to need bypass surgery in one of my legs. Now, I have a big decision to make.

They say that once I have this surgery that I am going to have to take it easy for about a month or longer afterward. This would mean postponing my trip back east to be with my family like I have planned. And considering the plans I made for this trip a postponement of the trip is not a desirable outcome.

My only other alternative is to take the trip as planned and postpone the surgery until I get back in the fall. This is not a very desirable outcome either. I’m not the type that likes to have surgery on his mind while it should be on enjoying the company of each member of his family.

The trip itself was going to be a very extensive trip with stops in about 5 different States, the main one being my home State of Michigan where most of the family is. All I can do is grin when I think of my last trip when I drove the ol’ buggy into the ground and needed a new transmission when I finally got to my destination.

The whole trip would be one of three or four months with about a month of it on the road. My first stop would be in Virginia where my grand niece lives with her Navy husband and two little ones that I have never met yet. Then it would be a trip up to Maryland where one of my nieces lives with her hubby and son who also has a little one I haven’t met.

Then it is on to Michigan where most of the members of my family are where i’ll be staying with another niece and her husband and kids on a farm that they are building up very nicely. BTW, between the both of them they are the parents of nine children. Can you imagine all the Christmas presents that are under the tree at their house for this brood?

While I am there I might just take a trip next door to Wisconsin where another nephew lives with his lovely wife and two kids, one that I haven’t met yet along with stopping off and seeing a couple of friends there. Then it is trip to Colorado on my way back home to see my ex brother in law.

Anyone out there want to go along?
